Health & Wellbeing
The Old Rectory offers 24 hours nursing care. We pride ourselves on the high level of personalised care and offer a high staff/patient ratio. We can manage all medical ailments associated with the frail elderly and our trained nurses are supported by our local GP who has been our home doctor for over 12 years. The Old Rectory does not specialise in Dementia care and as a result does not accept residents diagnosed with this condition.
Our Physiotherapy Department is on hand to help with any physical treatments.
Eating & Nutrition
We place a high importance on quality food, cooked using fresh ingredients from local suppliers all prepared on site by our own full time chefs who cater to all tastes. We understand the importance of a well-balanced and nutritional diet and therefore provide a varied and seasonal menu. All allergies and dietary requirements can be catered for along with any clinical dietary needs. We receive many compliments about the quality of our food especially the wide range of homemade desserts on our famous dessert trolley, life is for living after all.
We have a wide range of activities organised for the benefit of residents that include trips out, flower arranging, art classes, quiz’s, musical evenings, and other activities suggested by our Residents. The garden lends itself to seasonal activities including gardening, charity summer luncheons, exercising and afternoon tea. All activities are delivered by specialists in their field and are included in the fees.
We have our own Hairdresser, Chiropodist and Manicurist who offer a wide range of services that are inclusive in fee (additional visits chargeable on account).
We have 32 well-appointed en suite bedrooms varying in size. The majority of ground floor rooms have patio doors opening to the garden whilst the upstairs rooms are larger and all rooms offer traditional Victorian character with far reaching views of the Surrey Hills. The rooms are newly decorated, carpeted and equipped with televisions, telephones and ‘full profile’ beds, before our long term clients move in. Residents are free to bring items of their own furniture and pictures to personalise their rooms as they wish.
Drawing Room & Garden Room
The elegant and comfortable ground floor lounge, incorporates an open plan conservatory area which is flooded with natural light. A second lounge situated at the other end of the building, “The Garden Room” has patio doors with delightful views of The Old Rectory grounds, where residents can spend quiet time alone or with visiting family and friends.
We know how important it is to involve family and friends in our residents’ lives. Our fully catered Dining room and Harvest room is available to our residents to join relatives for meals. Family and friends are always welcome to join residents for coffee, home-made cakes and pastries, teas and refreshments throughout the day.
Grounds & Garden
The Old Rectory is approached by a gravelled drive leading to the front of the house and is set in a mature lawned garden. The numerous and established shrubs, seasonal flowering plants and historic trees are tended by our full time master gardener who ensures the grounds are picturesque throughout the whole year. Residents are encouraged to use the garden as much as possible weather permitting.
