Retaining all of the character of its country house origins, The Old Rectory’s calm and tranquil atmosphere immediately makes an impression on residents and visitors alike.
Harriet Sugdon-Wakefield, Registered Manager
I first started work for The Geoghegan Group in 2010.
I wanted a job where I could utilise my managerial experience to a more satisfying and rewarding purpose. Each day I have the enormous privilege of being involved in the daily lives of our residents. The Geoghegan Group was founded on family values of kindness and respect, and the families of our guests rest easy in the knowledge that we continue to carry this ethos into everything we do.
I am proud that The Old Rectory feels like a ‘home from home’ for those who choose to stay with us, as everyone at The Old Rectory plays a vital part in making that happen and I take great care in ensuring we build the right team to do that, both now and in the future.
So, if you have any questions or would like to take a look around, please call 01483 267195 and I will be happy to help.

We genuinely appreciate all the affection, patience and care that Gisele received during the four years she spent at The Old Rectory. We continue to tell others about The Old Rectory.
Whilst the facilities and surroundings are important, what really matters is the team, and your team is lovely. Thank you all for all you did.
Thank you and your wonderful nursing and care teams for everything you did for Rosie during these past four weeks. It was a great comfort to her and us, her family.
She was aware of all the love and care that surrounded her to which The Old Rectory contributed.
