Paying a visit

If you’re seeking a short break in peaceful surroundings, somewhere to rest after a recent spell of ill health, or simply want to ‘recharge your batteries’, then consider a stay with us and experience our high standards of care that will help you find your feet and get you back to feeling your old self again.

Accommodation options start from just one week, giving you the opportunity to sample all the benefits of the extra care and attention our residents enjoy on a permanent basis. And by working closely with our sister facility The Clavadel, we are able to put their excellent physiotherapy and hydrotherapy services at your disposal.

So, relax, leave your worries at the door, and make yourself at home.

A list of items you will need to bring with you can be found here.

Settling in

If you are contemplating a long-term stay, or have decided to make The Old Hall your new home, then “welcome” ─ we’re delighted you have you with us, and our staff are ready and waiting to assist you in getting settled in.

All of our bedrooms are fully furnished and feature an en suite toilet, wash basin, profile bed, TV and complimentary WiFi, with separate shower and bath facilities.

You will have everything you need at your disposal. However, you may wish to consider bringing items of your own furniture ─ or perhaps some familiar personal belongings, such as pictures or ornaments ─ that will help in making your room feel your own.

An open invitation

We hope that your friends and relatives will become familiar faces at The Old Hall as they experience the unique atmosphere that makes it so special. Light refreshments of coffee and tea are always available, and visitors may join you for lunch or supper on request for a nominal fee.

However, whilst visitors are always welcome, we would respectfully request they arrive after 10.30am, where possible, in order to preserve the daily routines of our residents. And should there be a need to visit outside normal hours, simply contact a senior member of staff who will be happy to assist. Thank you for your consideration.

I am very grateful for the care and attention I received from all staff at The Old Hall. I am recovering well at home thanks to being ‘got back on my feet’ during my ten day stay.
